125 years celebration of the Association. The Association held a dinner in November 2018 to celebrate it’s 125th anniversary. Held at the Plough Inn Llandeilo the evening was a huge success and all present thoroughly enjoyed themselves. We are issuing every permit holder with a badge to commemorate the achievement. Himalayan Balsam The work on clearing the Balsam on the riverbank is ongoing in conjunction with the C F F. New Access point We have leased a new access point to the river at Llandeilo bridge. This access is a set of steps located on the Right Hand Bank ( looking downstream) immediately downstream of the main road bridge, there is a locked gate at this position and the code for the lock will be issued with your permit. This is an access to the water upstream of the bridge. The pool below the bridge is for juniors and O A P’s from Llandeilo Town and Ffairfach village only. River Walk The Management Council Members have begun walking the whole of our water and are collecting plastic items and rubbish as they do it. A substantial amount of waste has already been disposed of and they have only done as far as the Down Water. The river bank will be cleaned as they move on downstream so please do not leave any litter on the river bank when you are fishing. Day/Weekly Tickets and Junior Season Tickets. Junior tickets can be purchased from Price News Rhosmaen Street, for those who are under 16 years of age the cost is £1 per season. 16 to 18 year old tickets are also available and cost £15 per season. Adult Day and Weekly permits can also be purchased there. CymdeithasPysgota Llandeilo Angling Association Online. Please visit the the Associations web page as it is continually updated by the clubs vice Chair Anthony Peynado, there is also a link to the clubs electronic newsletter and the association’s Facebook page. The Facebook page is open for comments at any time.We will also be advertising club activities which we hope will include work party days, and junior have a go at fishing lessons. We would welcome contributions as well as any reports on catches or fish seen. The website can be found at www.llandeiloangling.co.uk . Abergwili Angling Association & Cymdeithas Pysgota Tregaron Angling Association Ticket Swap. Please remember that we have a ticket swop scheme with these clubs if you fancy a change of water. The Baskets Pool Please remember the odds and evens Rule that applies on this pool as per your permit number and the date. THIS RULE WILL BE STRICTLY ENFORCED AND THE COMMITTEE WILL BAN ANY PERMIT HOLDER NOT OBEYING. Bye Laws It is unlikely that the proposed new byelaws will be introduced this season but be aware that they may be introduced as emergency byelaws at any time. The Association Web site will announce any changes. Work Party A work party will be arranged for a Sunday in March details will be broadcast on the website. Dogs No Dogs are allowed on our water at any time. Junior Fishing Experience Last season we held an evening for juniors in conjunction with the Urdd we propose to hold a similar event this year for the Llandello Y F C members the venue will be the Pantybedw fishery near Nantgaredig. Details will be shown on our website. Fishing Season Dates are:- April 1st to October 17th. Mandatory Catch & Release Periods Salmon - 1st April to 15th June and 7th to 17th October Seatrout - 1st September to 17th October Club Rules & Byelaws are available to download here. General Note Remember that the future of our angling is in your hands please handle fish that you are releasing with due care so that they can survive, the future of angling is in our care and we should safeguard it for generations to come.
